The Miz won the IC
title by defeating Christian on Raw’s 1000 episode. The Miz was off TV for a
while because he was filming the Marine 3. He made his return at Money In The
Bank, but failed to win the contract for a future WWE title shot. He comes back
sporting a new haircut and some facial hair that doesn’t become him.
The IC Title match was voted into the show by the WWE Universe, and out comes The Awesome One himself to attempt to capture the championship title and become a Triple Crown winner. He has won the Tag Team Titles, The WWE Title, and now the IC Title; these are the most important titles within the Company. The Miz really needed this win; he left Raw, on a huge losing streak, just like the one Jack Swagger & Heath Slater is on right now. I am a true believer that The Miz is a future superstar in the WWE. And having him lose to all of these made wrestlers doesn’t help his image, but WWE has to stop pushing younger talent in order to hype matches for all these old part-time 90’s wrestlers.
