What’s up with this guy, Fandango?

Who is Fandango and why is he getting such an impactful, but lame introduction to WWE Universe? Fandango is formally known as Johnny Curtis, you might remember him; he was on SmackDown. He won season 4 of NXT. Curtis trained in Killer Kowalski’s school of professional wrestling. This school has taught the art of wrestling to many superstars that wrestled for the WWE such as Triple H, Chyna, Perry Saturn and Kenny Dystra. He has wrestled for DSW, FCW, & NXT, and he has held many championships.

The fans have spoken again

Which of these Young WWE superstars, do you believe will be the greatest? That was the question I asked on our blog site about three month ago, you the fans voted for Sin Cara. He received 45% of the votes, which makes him the fans favorite to become the greatest superstar in the WWE. Sin Cara is a wrestler that has 13 years of experience in Japan and Mexico. He has held many titles all around the world, under the name Mistico. He was the biggest box office draw in Mexico, an equivalent to John Cena in the States. This guy is an already made wrestler, and the WWE has to change his name to Sin Cara, which mean “no face” when translated. I can’t help, but to think that by calling him “no face” dismisses all of his accomplishments which allows the WWE to take full credit for all and if any future achievements. Sin Cara was suspended for 30 day because he failed the WWE wellness policy. This was a major setback in my opinion; it will hurt him in the ring and backstage. I like this guy, but I have seen him in action and he makes tons of mistakes, which can be accounted for the language barrier or the inexperience of working in the States. Only time will tell if he can surpass the legacy of Rey Mysterio. I really believe he was brought in to WWE to replace Mysterio as the masked fan favorite. 

Alex Riley came in second place with 33% of the votes. I really don’t like this guy right now. I see him as John Cena replacement. Riley gained popularity by turning on The Miz earlier this year has not lost any steam. His in ring performance need work in my opinion, but he will become a star.

Dolph Ziggler was in third place with 27% of the votes, and in my opinion he is a true star. He has the look and the ability to become a world champion.

Drew Mcintyre and Zack Ryder are tied in forth places with 17% of the votes. Ryder should be in a higher ranking in my opinion.

Alex Riley

I am conducting a survey, on which young wrestler do you believe has the potential to become a great WWE Superstar. The wrestlers are Dolph Ziggler, Heath Slater, Drew Mcintyre, Johnny Curtis, Justin Gabriel, Zack Ryder, Sin Cara, Yoshi Tatsu, Jinder Mahal, and Alex Riley. For those who don’t know these wrestlers, I will be posting small bios on them.If you have a name to add to this list leave us a comment.

 

Alex Riley is the rookie sensation that ran wild in the WWE official developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling. He won the FCW Tag Team championship with his partner Scotty Goldman (Colt Cabana). Alex won the FCW Championship by defeating three men, Justin Gabriel and Wade Barrett. Alex Riley made his WWE debuted on NXT, his mentor was The Miz. He didn’t win NXT, but The Miz signed him to a ‘personal service contract’, which allows Alex to accompany him to the ring. We just recently saw Alex break away from his mentor and they will meet at Capital Punishment. I like this guy, and he may indeed be a star in the making. I really don’t see how having these two young stars feud benefit either one of them, but the WWE has a master plan, hopefully The Miz or Alex Riley is a part of that plan.

Tough Enough Trainer Bill DeMott

Hello again wrestling fans; it’s time to write about Tough Enough trainer Bill DeMott. He is considered an excellent in ring performers and an excellent trainer. He as trained many WWE Superstars such as, Skip Sheffield, John Morrison, and Johnny Curtis winner of the fourth season of NXT.  Tough Enough contenders are currently training with the man who has help develop WWE champion The Miz. Bill DeMott is a former WCW United States Heavyweight Champion and co-holder of the WCW Tag Team Championship. Bill DeMott joined WCW in 90’s. He is mostly remembered as Hugh Morrus a member of the Dungeon of Doom. Bill DeMott was also the first victim of the Bill Goldberg win streak, in WCW. Once the WWE purchased WCW, Bill joined “The Alliance” story line. Bill is 6 ft. 2 in. tall, weights from 250lbs to 300lbs and moves like a cruiserweight wrestler, his finishing move was a Moonsault off the top rope, which he renamed the “No Laughing Matter”.
