Booker T is heading to the Hall of Fame
Last
Monday night on Raw the WWE announced their latest inductee to the Hall of
Fame, that man was the five time WCW World Champion Booker T. The WWE is
honoring him even though must of his accomplishments were achieved in their
former competitors, WCW. The Bookerman has won the WCW World title five times,
but he has only held the WWE World Championship title once. He has held the US
title in WCW and also in the WWE. Booker T has held the IC title and the tag
team titles in both companies. His character as evolved; first he hailed from
Harlem, then becoming “GI Bro” and finally becoming the King of the Ring. Now
he is the general manger of SmackDown.

Torrie Wilson is Coming to NYC
Hello again wrestling fans. I am super excited that TheWrestling Universe is bringing one of the best Diva’s ever, Torrie
Wilson to Queens, New York. She will appear in person on Saturday 30, 2012. I have met her once before, and there is a funny
story about that encounter. As she got out of the car I shouted “possess for a
pic”, everyone turned around and looked at me including my wife with a face of
disgust. I asked her what was wrong, she said did you just shout “Show your
tits”, I turned beet red.

The Big Event 4
![]() |
Hello
again wrestling fans, my brother and I went to The Big Event 4 this past
Saturday. It was a great convention, the guest list was amazing, Kelly Kelly,
Karen Angle Jarrett, Jeff Jarrett, Stacy “Kat” Carter, Brooke Addams, Christy
Hemme and many more. But the man that I went to see was the 16 time World
Champion “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair.

WCW: The Best of Clash of the Champions
Hello wrestling fans,
it’s time for another DVD review. Watching WCW: The Best of Clash of the
Champions brought back so many memories. Helped me remember how much I hated
WCW. I must admit, the only thing that made WCW worth watching is the quality
in the matches. The very first match presented was the main event of the first
ever Clash of the Champions back in 1988, between "The Nature Boy"
Ric Flair vs. Sting for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.

The Strange Cases of 7 Missing Titles
Here is another list
put out by WWE, recapping seven titles from the past that are no longer being
used. The titles on this list are so old that many of these younger wrestling
fans wouldn’t remember them, there are two titles that I have never heard of,
and I have been a wrestling fan for 27 years, so I don’t know why they are
giving us this history lesson?

The Four Horsemen ride into the WWE Hall of Fame (Part Two)
Symbolically!
They are going to
become members of the Hall of Fame symbolically this is the term I am using for
certain members of the Four Horsemen,
Paul Roma will never be inducted as a singles competitor, and Chris
Benoit career is no longer part of the history of the WWE. So this is the
closet they we ever get to HOF.
Sting (1989–1990)
Sting joined the group
when Arn Anderson made his returned from the WWF. He was picked for an angle,
during this time Sting was the hottest babyface and he was going to face the
World Champion, Ric Flair. So the group picked him as their fourth member in
order to keep him away from the title. The fact that he was a member of the
Horsemen didn’t stop him from wanting to become the World Champion,

The Best in the World
Hello wrestling fans,
with the question of "who's the best in the world?" on my mind, I
decided to watch WWE Breaking The Code: Behind the Walls of Jericho. I must
say, Chris Jericho is one of my favorite wrestlers of all time. As we all know,
he has always looked up to Shawn Michaels and he always reminded me of Shawn
too. He was always a great in-ring performer, worked all around the world,
gaining so much experience and got noticed by guys like Paul Heyman, Jim
Cornette and Mick Foley. Jericho had a brief run in ECW, which eventually got
the attention of Eric Bischoff. With the idea of the Cruiserweight division in
mind, Bischoff hand-picked Jericho as one of the pioneers of that division,
alongside other guys like Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko, Rey Mysterio Jr., etc.

Ron Simmons
Hello wrestling fans.
The WWE Hall of Fame is a big part of the Road to WrestleMania, and I always,
always, always look forward to seeing it. I personally love when they start
name-dropping in their speeches. I just have this fascination with superstars
"breaking kayfabe", meaning they're speaking out-of-character. That
is why I love watching the biography DVD’s. Anyways, this past Monday on Raw
Super Show, they announced the latest inductee, Ron Simmons. I became so happy.
After his brief career in the NFL, he began his wrestling career in NWA as part
of the tag team, Doom with Butch Reed and managed by Teddy Long. He then began
his solo career, beating Vader and becoming the first African-American World
Champion for WCW. In 1996, he became Faarooq Asad in the WWE, managed by Sunny.
Later, he started the faction, The Nation of Domination. Members include guys
like Crush, Savio Vega, Mark Henry, D-Lo Brown, Owen Hart and of course The
Rock, just to name a few. The Acolytes Protection Agency (A.P.A.) with Bradshaw
(JBL) was such a great tag team. Their office was in a corner backstage with
just a single door with no walls. They were always seen playing poker and
smoking cigars, but when they got hired for protection, they raised hell. In
2004, he retired having accomplished many achievements, including WCW World,
United States and Tag Team championships, and a three time WWE Tag Team
champion with Bradshaw. I just want to add, when I met Ron Simmons, I told him
how I grew up watching him ever since WCW. I mentioned how I remember going
crazy when he won the World Heavyweight title and becoming the first
African-American World Champion for WCW. He was so thankful and such a great
guy. I’m super excited and happy to see his induction to the Hall of Fame this
year. One more thing.......... DAMN!!

Chris Jericho Is The Best In The World At What He Does
![]() |
| Chris Jericho |
![]() |
| Chris Jericho |
Chris Jericho ended Raw
with a bang, gaining a victory over the WWE Champion CM Punk. After the match Jericho
then mocked him by sitting in Punk’s traditional Indian style pose and holding
the WWE title on his shoulder. Earlier in the show he came clean by telling the
fans the main reason for returning to wrestling. Jericho called out all of the
wrestlers that were stealing his gimmick, specially “The Best in the World” CM
Punk. CM Punk responded by mocking Jericho and not uttering a word. I don’t like to toot my own horn, but toot,
toot, I wrote about this same story line a couple of weeks ago and I guess someone
has a future in the WWE creative team, lol. In my opinion Jericho is back in
the WWE to put over the younger talent, so look for exciting matches on the
Chamber PPV and WrestleMania 28.

X-Pac in New York City
| The NWO |
Hello again wrestling
fans. I attended a special wrestling autograph session at the Wrestling
Universe in Queens, New York. The guess was Sean Waltman, better known as
X-Pac, former member of D-Generation X and NOW, two of the
greatest factions in wrestling history. Waltman is a former two time European Champion,
two time Light Heavyweight Champion, four time Tag team Champion, in the WWE.
In WCW he held the Cruiserweight Championship title twice and the Tag Team
Championship titles once with his best friend Kevin Nash. I have met X-Pac before it was during Ringside
Fest 2006, in which I met the entire Wolfpac (Scott Hall & Kevin Nash). In
Ringside Fest, Waltman was great, very hyper and was over all cool with everyone.
This time he was a little mellow, still very cool to meet him, wasn’t too
personal. The tickets were $30 for two
photos and one autograph, which in my opinion is very affordable. Like always I
enjoyed my time at the Wrestling Universe, and the rumors are that he will have
Bret “Hitman” Hart, sometime in May, he will confirm on his web page. Until next
time, see you on the lines.

The Four Horsemen ride into the WWE Hall of Fame
![]() |
| The Four Horsemen |
![]() |
| The Original Five |
Ric Flair (1986–1991, 1993–1999)
![]() |
| Ric Flair |
What can I really say about Ric Flair? He has carved out a legacy in pro
wrestling that will never be forgotten by any wrestling fans. He is the 16 time World Champion, and he is the
leader of the Four Horsemen. Flair has held over 20 different titles (in the
NWA, WCW, and WWF/WWE). This is why he
was inducted into WWE Hall of fame back in April 2008. Now Flair has the honor
to join his fellow Horsemen as they all will be inducted into the Hall of Fame
of 2012, he is setting another record for being the only man to be inducted
twice. All challengers knew that if they were going to take the title away from
Flair; they would have to take on all the members of the Horsemen. The group
structure was always the same, Flair was the World Champion and the Horsemen
were there to keep the title on him. He has been a member to many copycat
groups like “Fortune” and “Evolution”, but he will always be remembered as the
heart and soul of the Four Horsemen.
Arn Anderson (1986–1988, 1990–1999)
![]() |
| Arn Anderson |
‘The Enforce’ Arn Anderson was a tag team specialist. He also was the man
that named the group. During the 80’s they didn’t have enough air time to
promote three upcoming matches, so they paired up all four men to do an
interview. During this interview Anderson states “Never in the history of
Wrestling has so few, wreak so much havoc, you would have to go back in history,
to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse”.
The Four Horsemen were born on that day and history was made. Anderson alongside
other members of the Horsemen held the NWA/ WCW tag team titles on numerous
occasions. He held the WCW Television Championship title four times, but he
never held the world title. Anderson had many accolades during his career, but
most of them will never put him in the Hall of fame as an individual wrestler. In
my opinion he was always under the Nature Boy’s shadow. Anderson and Blanchard
were the first horsemen to jump ship, they left WCW and joined the WWF and
became known as the Brainbuster. While in the WWF they captured the Tag Team
Championship titles. While Anderson was away the group was trying to stay
afloat, they attempted to add Windham’s little brother Kendall Windham, but
that didn’t work. The Horsemen never made him an official member this is why
Kendall is not on this list.
Tully Blanchard (1986–1988)
![]() |
| Tully Blanchard |
In my opinion Tully Blanchard was one of the best technical wrestlers of
his time. He captured the NWA/WCW Television Championship title three times. He
was the NWA/WCW United States Champion, NWA/WCW Tag Team Champion twice, the
NWA National Heavyweight Champion, and a WWF Tag Team Champion (W. Arn
Anderson). Blanchard won so many different championships that he should be
recognized by the WWE and should be enter into the Hall of Fame on his own, but
then again he didn’t shine as bright as other superstars did. After, the stint
in the WWF, Arn and Tully were schedule to come back to the newly created WCW,
but he failed a drug test and the company reneged on the deal. Tully wasn’t
seen in wrestling after that incident. I can remember watching great matches
between him and the ‘American Dream’ Dusty Rhodes.
Ole Anderson (1986–1987; 1990; 1993)
![]() |
| Ole Anderson & Arn Anderson |
Ole Anderson was one of the original four, he later left the group and Lex
Luger took his place. Ole Anderson and his brother Gene Anderson were the
Minnesota Wrecking Crew, and at that point in time they were synonymous with
Tag Team wrestling. They both captured so many different titles that I would
have to write on for about another 2 more pages. In that group he captured
another tag team championship with Arn Anderson. He was a perfect fit for the
Four Horsemen, in my opinion he gave some legitimacy to the young talented group.
I also believe the WWE would never induct Ole on his own merit.
James J. Dillon (1986–1989)
![]() |
| James J. Dillon & Tully Blanchard |
J.J. Dillon is a former wrestler who later became the manager to one of
the best heels faction in the history of Pro-Wrestling. He was an accomplish
wrestler in his own right. He was crowned “King” James Dillon while wrestling
in the Florida territory and he was also the International Heavyweight Champion
in the Nova Scotia territory. Dillon will always be remembered as the Manger of
the Four Horsemen.
Lex Luger (1987)
![]() |
| Lex Luger |
“The Total Package” Lex Luger was the man who took over Ole Anderson’s
spot in The Four Horsemen. Luger was a young, upcoming wrestler that was being prep
to become the Hulk Hogan of WCW. The only thing that stood in his way was the
lack of charisma and the total absence of his mic skills. This factor didn’t
stop WCW in making him a great superstar in wrestling. Luger has held the WCW
Television Championship title twice and has held the WCW United States Championship
on five different occasions. He is a former two times WCW World Heavyweight Champion
and he got his first taste of fame while he was a member of the Four Horsemen.
He also joined the WWF in 90’s but the only thing he won was the Royal Rumble, but
so did Bret Hart that year. (There were two winners in 1994)
Barry Windham (1988–1989; 1990–1991)
![]() |
| Barry Windham |
Barry Windham is the son of wrestling legend Blackjack Mulligan, so it
comes to no one’s surprise that he was trained by his legendry father and the most
feared man in wrestling at the time Harley Race. When Luger left the group he
needed a partner to help him take on the Horsemen. Windham joined Luger on his
quest and helped him defeat the Horsemen for the Tag Team Championship title.
Two weeks later Windham turned on Luger and joined the Horsemen. By turning on his
former partner, Windham allowed the Horsemen to regain the tag team gold. This
was another young wrestler that used the fame he gather from being a part of
such a successful group, to become a wrestling superstar. He captured many
titles in the NWA/WCW such as the US title, TV title, and Tag Team titles. Windham
also won the main prize the NWA/WCW World Heavyweight Champion.

WWE Survivor Series Weekend
Hello wrestling fans, my
WWE Survivor Series weekend started Friday morning at Madison Square Garden. I attempted
to meet CM Punk. When I got there, the first 150 people were already there
since about 3 a.m. I still stuck around to see CM Punk, try to win prizes, and
get a chance to play the new WWE 12 video game. Well I didn’t get a chance to
play the game, but I did win a Survivor Series T-shirt for answering a WWE
trivia question on stage with Jimmy Hart. I also got to see CM Punk and hear
the Q & A they had. Honestly the questions they picked weren’t even about
wrestling and were ridiculous. I must admit, CM Punk doesn’t seem like a cool
or approachable guy, but I didn’t meet him so I’m not really sure. I would like
to congratulation him for winning the WWE Championship Title on Sunday.
Saturday began right
across the street from MSG at Kmart. My brother and I went to meet Zack Ryder
and the Bella Twins. Waiting on line, we all got to meet referee Charles
Robinson aka "Little Naitch" in WCW with the Four Horsemen. It was
fun waiting on line trying to figure out how to tell the difference between
Brie and Nikki Bella but one thing we all knew was that they are even more
gorgeous in person than on TV. This weekend, I became an official member of the
Zack Pack. (Editors’ Note: You became one cause of me, WOO WOO WOO, YOU KNOW
IT) The Long Island Iced Z is doing his thing and growing a huge fan base.
Throughout the whole match between John Morrison and Dolph Ziggler, the whole
arena kept yelling "WE WANT RYDER!!" Why hasn’t he gotten his U.S.
title chance? Are you serious bro? Anyways, meeting Ryder and the Bella Twins
was great and Ryder even had his Internet Championship right on the table. They
were all nice and you could tell Ryder was having a blast being in his
hometown, interacting with his fans.
Sunday morning we began
with a trip to Garden City, NY's Roosevelt Field Mall to see The Miz and Eve
Torres. One word, AWESOME!!! The Miz is a great guy, not only did he sign the
photo I had, he even signed my belt. Eve is unbelievably gorgeous in person and
super nice. With the exception of the "mall cops" thinking they're
real cops, it was still a great signing. I would definitely go again.
The energy inside MSG
before the show was incredible. Broski headbands were already sold out, but I
managed to get one pair, once we got inside the arena. The atmosphere inside
the arena is nothing like watching it at home. The NYC crowd just could not
help show their NYC attitude by mostly rooting for the heels. A perfect example
was when Sin Cara was on the floor with an injury; we can’t help but yell out
"YOU FUCKED UP!!" It was awesome. The biggest boo's of the night were
definitely John Cena, Mason Ryan, and shockingly John Morrison. The biggest pop
of the night is a tie between The Rock and Zack Ryder. Second to them were CM
Punk and Cody Rhodes, then other tough guys like Sheamus, Wade Barrett, Dolph
Ziggler, Miz, Truth, etc. I must admit, I give Survivor Series a, 7 out of 10.
I didn’t like that the U.S. title match didn’t turn into a triple threat match,
giving Ryder his shot, and that Daniel Bryan didn’t cash in his Money in the
Bank contract after the match between Big Show and Mark Henry. I hated the
ending with Cena and Rock winning but it goes with the storyline, since the
Awesome Truth split up last night on Raw. Overall, the show was awesome and I
can’t wait to go back. This weekend was exhausting for me, but it was well
worth it.
