New World Heavyweight Champion

After 15 long years Mark Henry has become World Heavyweight Champion, by defeating Randy Orton on Night of Champions. It was a well deserve victory. Mark Henry has paid his dues and I hope the WWE keeps the title on him for a while. Can he make the title mean something? Henry is an old school wrestler that has been there since the “Attitude Era”, he has experience wrestling at its highest peak. All of this won’t make a difference because on less Henry makes a huge impact as a champion; he will drop the title to Sheamus. In my opinion Henry has gained a promotion, because the WWE feel confident that he can put Sheamus “over”.

Triple H & CM Punk

The last segment on Raw was the final face to face show down between Triple H and CM Punk. They had an awesome promo. Let’s be cleared, this is a work shoot that is going to put asses in the arena seats and of course higher PPV buy rates. The firing of Kevin Nash is also a work, because he signed a legends contract earlier in the year. They both went in hard, talking about past offences that occurred behind the sense. Punk called out Triple H & Vince, on the fact they believe that only body builders should be in wrestling and how the WWE is considered the “Land of the Giants”. Triple H also confesses that he believed that John Cena didn’t have “anything to offer this business” earlier in his career.  As CM Punk begins to drop the “pipe Bomb” on Triple H, his microphone gets cut off, after the second attempt to speak on another mic Punk Lays him out. The fact is that the WWE is winning back the older fans with this new story line, in which we will probably see Nash interfere in the match on Night of Champions. This outcome will keep us, the fans, interested in the new product.

Night of Champions Main Event

The main event for the Night of Champion PPV was announced last Monday night on Raw. It’s going be John Cena vs. our WWE Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio. This was a major surprise, not really! I must be honest I am not going to pay for this PPV, the key word here is pay. This match is going to be like all the other Cena matches, he will get his ass kicked the entire match and then mount a comeback, this is boring. How many times can we see the same match, no wonder the WWE PPV buy rates are going down the drain. The only upside, is that we are going to see Del Rio carry this Fruity Pebble ass throw out the match, and take him to wrestling school, by doing so Del Rio will be viewed as a creditable champion. I am also upset that former champions like The Miz, and Jack Swagger are not even at mid-card status. The Miz is teaming up with R-Truth, another chump that The Miz has to carry. I hope that putting Swagger and Vickie together can help his carrier, and at least have him face top contenders. The only sad thing is that CM Punk is getting over with fans, and he may have to face a 50 year old man at a PPV, this isn’t TNA guys, so let’s cross our fingers that we don’t have to see that match.
