Today in Wrestling History


On April 14, 1989 Jerry “The King” Lawler defeated Kerry Von Erich the then reigning WCWA World Heavyweight Champion. The King unified the WCWA title with his AWA title to become the Unified World Heavyweight Champion, which would become the top title in the USWA.
