Make Take on the Royal Rumble

The 2012 Royal Rumble was a lackluster PPV. The first match was the World Championship title match in a steel cage between Mark Henry, The Big Show, and the champion Daniel Bryan. First of all I hate the fact that the WWE keeps downgrading the World Championship title by making it the opening contest. The ending was horrible; The Big Show held Daniel over the cage with one hand and then released him, what was that? Bryan regained the title, but the question is why can’t the champion retain his title with a clean win? The second title match was the WWE Championship match between Dolph Ziggler and the Champion CM Punk. The outcome was predictable; punk regain his title after he hit his patent GTS. On to the match between Kane and John Cena, will Cena embrace the hate or will he rise above the hate? This match ended with a double count out. The biggest high light of this match was when Kane choked slammed him to hell..lol. Now on to the Royal Rumble match itself. I actually enjoyed all of those crazy entrees, like Road Dogg who got the biggest pop of the night and Hacksaw Jim Duggan who entered the ring chanting Zack Ryder’s ex-girlfriend name, hooooooo. The return of Kharma was un-expected, but at least she eliminated Michael Cole. All three announcers were in the Royal Rumble match. When they announce Booker T, he stood up and he was wearing a sport jacket & his wrestling tights, hilarious. Everyone knows by now that Sheamus won the Royal Rumble and is on his way to the main event of WrestleMania 28. Did Sheamus deserve the win and the opportunity to main event WrestleMania? The answers is yes, apparently the WWE believes so because he is a fan favorite. The question is who will he face, the World Champion or the WWE Champion?

This Week In Wrestling (November 20, 2011)

This week in wrestling we saw The Michael Cole challenge. This was a huge joke. Jim Ross went head to head with Michael Cole, what was at stake? JR’s Job. There was an arm wrestling contest, a dance off and finally the biggest joke of all a weight contest. CM Punk came to save the segment. He gave Cole a dose of reality, letting him know that Jim Ross is the best announcer in the history of Pro-Wrestling. CM Punk put Michael Cole in the Anaconda Vice that was priceless.  John Leaurinaitis hits the ring and announced that CM Punk will team up with the Big Show to take on The World Champion Mark Henry & The WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio. This match was good and finally Del Rio got a win over CM Punk and after the match he put Punk in an arm lock.

Mick Foley made his return to the WWE. Foley was telling the fans that he believes John Cena is one of the best performers the WWE has ever seen.  That is Blasphemy! Foley wanted to celebrate John Cena’s career by having a segment of “This is your Life”. Foley brought out Cena’s little league coach, his former tag team partner Bull Buchanan and his father John Cena Sr. John Cena Sr. was hilarious, questioning the fans for booing his son and telling us the fans, that Cena is a hard worker. Foley stats to announce the last person from Cena’s past and The Rock music hits the air waves. He enters the ring hits Foley with a Rock Bottom and leaves the ring, while his entrance music is still playing.

Santino Morella tells the audience that he will put his career back on track tonight and that next time he comes back to Boston he will be a Champion. Kevin Nash hits the ring and takes out Santino Morella with a big boot. Then he starts talking and “CLICK!”

Finally The Rock has come back to Boston; this was one of the best promos I have seen in years. He calls out the Awesome Truth, to the ring. Then John Cena hit the ring and the insults start flying. The best quotes of the night were “Cena Lady Parts are trending world wide” and “Boots to Asses”. Finally The Rock hits R-Truth with a rock Bottom. He then takes the Miz off John Cena shoulder and then hits him with the Rock Bottom.  Leaving John Cena and their opponents for Survivor Series laid-out in the middle of the ring. While Raw ends we see The Rock giving Cena the “you can see me” sign, awesome, show.

The True Champ is Here

CM Punk

Rey Mysterio

Monday night Raw started off, with the crowning of the smallest WWE Heavyweight Champion, ever and ended with the true champion hit the ring. Rey Mysterio defeated The Miz, whom in my opinion is the better superstar to carry the company under Triple H’s region. Mysterio gains the victory by hitting The Miz with splash of the top rope. (I would just like to take this opportunity to tell you guys I predicted Rey was going to win, thank you very much)The Miz attacked Mysterio at the end of the match, leaving him in a weaken state. Alberto Del Rio attempts to cash in the Money in the Bank, but Rey gains the upper hand and the match never gets started. Why doesn’t the WWE listen to the fans, we don’t want a midget champion. We want a young and over confident Champion.

Micheal Cole

Triple H enters the ring and gives us the return of Jim Ross, to the Chair he made famous. Then he gives us Micheal Cole as “The Cerebral Assassin”, this was a bitching scene. Everyone is quoting Charlie Shane’s “Epic” but I really like “Bitching”, so let’s bring it back folks.  Then he gives us a comic release sketch with R-Truth and then John Morrison returns to Raw. Oh did I forget to mention that he also gave us a second main event, that involves the new champion Rey Mysterio vs. the former champion, and if I my add the man that let the WWE title leave the company, John Cena.

CM Punk & John Cena

The night wouldn’t be complete without eye candy in the ring, that’s what I always say; the Divas tag team match was Kelly Kelly & Eve Torres vs. Maryse & Melina. The main event is finally here, after a great match between Alberto Del Rio & Kofi Kingston, we get Rey vs. Cena. The match was a back & forth, Cena-Rey, Rey-Cena, no one knew who was going to win…no not really that match bite the big one. The only bright side was that JR was calling the match and he was making them look great, I thought I was a witness to the greatest match in world. Obviously Cena won the title, but the shocking moment of the night was when the true WWE Heavyweight Champion came, CM Punk and made his presences known. The two men came face to face and had a crowd going wild, both man raised the titles and got a response from the fans, but the true Champion CM Punk revised the greater ovation from the crowd. There is a video playing on the official WWE facebook, which show CM Punk on the mic stating “I am back”. Over all I feel this edition of Raw good, can’t wait for the next.

On a side note there are rumors that The Kings of Wrestling, Claudio Castagnoli and Chris Hero are heading to the main Raw roster, along with Colt Cabana. Is this correct, it mean I am right, CM Punk will invade the WWE with Independent wrestlers.
