The Bella Twins are back

We all know that the Divas division is the “shits”, and I don’t mean in a good way. So the WWE decided that bringing back the Divas will boost their ratings, or “raise their audience” if you know what saying, lol. The first ones to return are The Bella Twins, and they are still looking fine (I’m trying to bring that word back, don’t judge me). These two females have come alone way, they both could not wrestle if their life depended on it, but over the course of a couple of months they can come back and put on a great wrestling match. Both Brie & Nikki Bella have held the WWE’s Divas Championship title once, and they will definitely get their opportunity to regain the Championship.

Raw's 1000 Episode

Raw’s 1000 episode was one of the best, WWE show’s we have seen in a while. They gave us returning legends like Vader, Sid Vicious, Diamond Dallas Page, Roddy Piper, and many more. But the biggest return was the reunion between the leaders of the Attitude Era, Degeneration X (DX). When they announce a DX reunion, for the 1000 episode, I thought we were in store for another Triple H & Shawn Michaels segment, but when I saw “The Road Dog” Jesse James, “Badass” Billy Gun and X-Pac in that jeep, I went crazy.

This Week in Wrestling (April 29, 2012)

Edge was on Raw this past Monday night, and he wanted to see the real John Cena. Edge called out Cena on being a big old softy and that the real Cena was the man that put him throw three tables of a ladder. It was funny how Edge, just let the entire world know that his contract was expiring at the end of this month, hoping to gather some support from the fans in order to get a better contract, he truly is “The Ultimate Opportunist”

Harrington's WrestleMania 28 Prediction

Well WrestleMania 28 is here and I can’t help myself, I feel like little kid before Christmas. My expectations are super high, and I hope WWE doesn’t let me down. There is a rumor that Dave Batista and Brock Lesnar are going to make their return to the WWE tonight at WrestleMania 28.

Zack Ryder is really not booked for WrestleMania 28 or is he?

This past Monday night on Raw I saw something that looked a little interesting to me; Eve planted a big wet kiss, on Zack Ryder. After that huge kiss, Ryder was hooked again and he showed off his eyes full of puppy love. Now, I wouldn’t reject a kiss like that from a hot Latin woman, but I know them all too well, you should be warned “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorn”!  The only man that should worry about Eve right now is John Cena. He is the one that started to call her a “Hoeski”, and told her that she was “sipping from the skank juice”. It wouldn’t be a surprise to me if Eve & Ryder interfere in the giant main event for WrestleMania 28. Think about it, if Ryder turns sort of heel, (he wouldn’t turn fully heel, because he will be under the Hoeski spell) it will elevate his career. He will be facing the top guy in the company. Eve will gain credibility to her new found heel status. It’s a win, win on both side. Besides, what will John Cena do on April 9th when Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson packs up his bags and hits the trail. Cena needs another opponent, who better than his former Broski. Maybe I am giving the WWE creative team too much credit; they probably just drop the ball, just like the last storyline between Cena & Kane.

This Is Wrestling (February 22, 2012)

Since Kane’s return, I honestly believed we will see John Cena as the old rapping heel, but all we got was a Hoeski. The end of this boring ass, storyline gave us nothing to look for. John Cena is still that clean cut white boy from Massachusetts, and is still smiling while the entire arena is chanting “Cena sucks”. The only thing that changed was Eve Torres, she is turning heel.  I really believed Cena was the focus of this storyline not, Eve. The former Divas Champion will forever go down in wrestling history as a Hoeski.

Are you Serious Bro, Why are you Kissing my baby Momma?

This past edition of Raw, Cena, committed a huge offence against the Bro Code. Thou shall not kiss your bro’s soon to be baby momma or the shorty he is eying, or the mamasota he has the hot’s for, in the MF mouth. That was just low even for John Cena. I guess this is the way the WWE wants to create “heat” for Cena, but honestly who will actually blame him for doing what he did. You have a fine a** Latin women jumping in to your arms and planting a huge wet one on your lips, what do you do, push her away from you, no man! Do exactly what John Cena did embrace the heat from Eve. As a matter of fact I envy him just little bit, now. I am just kidding guys, it is apparent that the WWE wants Cena to have a mean streak, or even little bit of heel status before the huge match at WrestleMania 28 against The Rock. So this angle will give him that push towards “embracing the hate”, and hopefully the storyline between Kane & Cena comes to an end, because it is boring. This Storyline doesn’t convince me that Cena is heel; I really think they need him to turn on the fans for boing him every single night, in order to make him a believable “Bad Guy”. But the WWE will not do that for one single match so don’t expect good vs. evil on April 1, 2012.

Raw Super Show (February 7, 2012)

Hello wrestling fans. After watching Raw Super Show, I had a few thoughts I wanted to express. I'm already tired of the whole Kane, Cena, Ryder and Eve situation. It's border-line soap opera. Zack Ryder and Eve being "boyfriend/girlfriend" is just dumb but hopefully Ryder makes his return soon and wins back his U.S. championship. The only way I see the "embrace the hate" angle working out is with John Cena defeating Kane in the "Ambulance Match," which ends that feud and eventually makes Cena turn heel for the WrestleMania match against The Rock. Honestly, I really don’t care for that match. I was never excited for a Rock/Cena match, not even when it was announced last year, after WrestleMania 27. The Rock sold out to become a "movie star" and truthfully, I'll be cheering for John Cena. Speaking of "truth", what the hell was Miz thinking when he let R-Truth just fall flat on his back from the ring to the outside floor? If Truth is seriously injured, it could jeopardize his career and it would definitely be The Miz's fault. Not cool. I must admit, I’m more excited to see the Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship than for the World Heavyweight Championship. Simply because, for some reason The Great Khali is in the Chamber match. Khali is just an example of what I like to call a "monster gimmick." Big monster guys who are there to be unstoppable, which is lame and boring, in my opinion. I am excited to see the Lionheart, Y2J, The Best in the World at what he does, Chris Jericho become WWE champion. I said in a past article how CM Punk might be the best since HBK and Jericho are gone, but that same day, Jericho returns to Raw. Jericho's speech last night was perfect and he has the history of accomplishments to back it up. CM Punk definitely stole the "Best in the World" phrase and Jericho will show him, who's the best. Y2J! Y2J! Y2J! Lastly, I'm sure that Triple H will eventually accept the Undertaker's challenge at WrestleMania. It just goes to show that Undertaker has no more worthy opponents for WrestleMania and I’m sorry to say, it'll never be as great of a match as the ones Taker had with Mr. WrestleMania himself, Shawn Michaels.

Make Take on the Royal Rumble

The 2012 Royal Rumble was a lackluster PPV. The first match was the World Championship title match in a steel cage between Mark Henry, The Big Show, and the champion Daniel Bryan. First of all I hate the fact that the WWE keeps downgrading the World Championship title by making it the opening contest. The ending was horrible; The Big Show held Daniel over the cage with one hand and then released him, what was that? Bryan regained the title, but the question is why can’t the champion retain his title with a clean win? The second title match was the WWE Championship match between Dolph Ziggler and the Champion CM Punk. The outcome was predictable; punk regain his title after he hit his patent GTS. On to the match between Kane and John Cena, will Cena embrace the hate or will he rise above the hate? This match ended with a double count out. The biggest high light of this match was when Kane choked slammed him to hell..lol. Now on to the Royal Rumble match itself. I actually enjoyed all of those crazy entrees, like Road Dogg who got the biggest pop of the night and Hacksaw Jim Duggan who entered the ring chanting Zack Ryder’s ex-girlfriend name, hooooooo. The return of Kharma was un-expected, but at least she eliminated Michael Cole. All three announcers were in the Royal Rumble match. When they announce Booker T, he stood up and he was wearing a sport jacket & his wrestling tights, hilarious. Everyone knows by now that Sheamus won the Royal Rumble and is on his way to the main event of WrestleMania 28. Did Sheamus deserve the win and the opportunity to main event WrestleMania? The answers is yes, apparently the WWE believes so because he is a fan favorite. The question is who will he face, the World Champion or the WWE Champion?

Kane hits the ring and chocked slammed John Cena; this was a great ending to a horrible Raw Supershow. What type of impact did he make?

Picture of the Week (November 12, 2011)

I was looking through my wrestling picture folders and stumbled upon this classic promo picture. I thought it was only fare to share it with you, the fans of this blog site. Isaac Yankem, who is now known as Kane, is a perfect example of the comic book characters the WWE then WWF created. What are your favorite classic characters from 80’s or 90’s? My thoughts on Money in the Bank

Money in the Bank

Hello wrestling fans. I just wanted to post the results and of course my thoughts about each match. First off, I believe the whole CM Punk situation just had this vibe going around the arena. WWE Money in the Bank was probably the best WWE pay per view I've seen in a while. I say the best because most of the matches were good matches. Here are the results:

Daniel Bryan
The first match was SmackDown's Money in the Bank ladder match featuring Kane, Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater, Sin Cara, Daniel Bryan, Sheamus and Cody Rhodes. Everyone in this match was on top of their game. No one slacked off. This was a really good match, with each superstar with their own highlights. Sin Cara started cleaning house, until Sheamus powerbombed him onto a ladder on the outside. If you see closely, you can see the paint covered crack on the ladder right before it "breaks" when Sin Cara lands. He was brought to the back by the EMTs. So he'll be out of action for a while, hence his suspension. An awesome high spot was Sheamus and Kane doing the Doomsday Device on Bryan, paying homage to The Road Warriors since they were in Chicago that night. Just as Sheamus was about to grab the briefcase, he was chokeslammed by Kane onto another ladder. Rhodes, Bryan, and Barrett ganged up on Kane and ends with Gabriel delivering his 450 splash from on top of a ladder. Then Bryan gains the upper hand, by kicking Barrett off the ladder to grab the briefcase. Yes, it is true. Daniel Bryan (The American Dragon Bryan Danielson) is now the Money in the Bank winner with a contract for a World Championship title match at any time for one year.

Kelly Kelly defeated Brie Bella to retain her WWE Divas Championship.

Mark Henry defeated Big Show. Henry did a great job playing the heel, constantly beating on the injured leg of Big Show's. Henry is getting a big push to being a top heel for WWE SmackDown.

Alberto Del Rio
Raw's Money in the Bank ladder match was next, featuring The Miz, Alex Riley, Jack Swagger, R-Truth, Rey Mysterio, Alberto Del Rio, Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston. It seems like these guys wanted to top SmackDown's ladder match, because this match had some awesome high spots. First Riley flips over the top rope onto Swagger and Miz, and then Truth flips over the top rope onto them. Finally Mysterio and Kingston were on opposite turnbuckles jump off, landing on top of the guys. Then Bourne delivers his finisher Airbourne from the ladder, landing on top of everyone. Bourne and Miz end up reaching for the briefcase, but Del Rio pushed the ladder from under them, causing Miz to land and hurt his right knee. There's a point in the match where there are four ladders in the ring and all seven superstars are all on top reaching for that briefcase. Each man falls off one by one, when out of nowhere, The Miz returns hopping on one leg but is cut short by Mysterio. The fans at the arena were not pleased by that, booing Mysterio for stopping Miz and almost grabbing the briefcase. Mysterio and Del Rio go back and forth for the briefcase, on top of the ladders, but Del Rio unmasks Mysterio and causes all the ladders to fall. Del Rio quickly puts the ladder back in place and grabs the briefcase. He's officially Raw's Money in the Bank ladder match winner. But of course, you already knew that.

Christian
For those who follow The Wrestling Fans Review blogs site, know that I'm a Christian fan. I must say, I am not happy with how he became World Champion. A stipulation in the match was that if Randy Orton was disqualified, he would lose his World Championship title. Christian ends up spitting on Orton's face, making Orton so angry that he kicks Christian below the belt and loses the match and his title. He then gives Christian the RKO on top of the Spanish announcers table, and then follows up with another RKO. To be honest, it seemed that they were trying to break the table but couldn’t. I don’t like this ending because Christian's debate was "I can beat you Randy!" and winning the title by disqualification doesn’t prove that he can. I feel like it doesn’t make Christian look good at all. It was a cheap way to win.

CM Punk
Finally we get to the main event of the night and from the moment CM Punk's music started, the fans went wild. The match started out slow with John Cena shadow boxing and surprisingly chain wrestling with Punk. I don’t think anyone was sitting down this whole match. It was very suspenseful, keeping everyone on their feet. Cena had the upper hand for the most part, but Punk did not want to stay down. They're later joined by Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis. McMahon signals for the time keeper to ring the bell. Just as Laurinaitis starts running down to the bell, Cena clotheslines him and tells McMahon that he didn’t want to win that way. He goes back into the ring and Punk catches him with the GTS and gets the 1, 2, 3. I was completely shocked. I believed Cena was going to win, not get fired of course, and Punk would leave like he said he would. Vince then calls for Alberto Del Rio to cash in his contract but gets kicked by Punk before the match ever started. So CM Punk is now the WWE Champion and he jumped over the railing, on to the fans and left the WWE with the prestigious yet ugly looking WWE Championship.

On that note, it was a good pay per view event with a few surprises and good matches. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for WWE now that there's no WWE Champion and Vince McMahon being fired. We shall see next week on Monday Night Raw.

The Tag Team Division

The Brain Busters

Hello again wrestling Fans. This week I want to talk about the Tag Team division in wrestling. In the past the World Tag Team titles meant something. There were teams like The Road Warriors, The Fabulous Freebirds, The Brain Busters and Midnight Express, just to name a few who made tag team wrestling exciting. These men competed as a cohesive unit to obtain the tag team gold. The tag team division was so popular that there were two different titles, The U.S. Tag Titles and the World Tag Titles. There was also a six men championship title. I really don't understand why the WWE and TNA have tag team titles. Their tag team divisions are weak in both promotions, but at-least TNA has, Beer Money. In my opinion Beer Money is the best tag team in wrestling right now, the reason is because Beer Money doesn’t have any competition.

The Hart Dynasty
The WWE had a perfect tag team in The Hart Dynasty, with Tyson Kidd & David Hart Smith with Natalya in their corner. What does the WWE do with this team; they break the team up, why? I guess tag team doesn’t draw money. Now we are seeing Michael PS Hayes former leader of The Fabulous Freebirds, as a manager again, and I hope he will bring back this division to its former glory. The WWE puts the two biggest wrestlers together (Kane & Big Show) and they handed them the titles. Who will take down these two giants? The new NEXUS did. On May 23, 2011 edition of Raw, David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty became new tag team champions. I am wondering how long, would the WWE keep the titles on the NEXUS members. I got it, I’m giving you a major prediction, the next tag team champions are going to be John Cena and whoever is his opponent at Capital Punishment.

The Rumor Mill - May 11, 2011

SmackDown results

-Trevor Murdoch wrestled a dark match during the SmackDown taping. Sin Cara defeated Daniel Bryan, Kane Defeated Wade Barrett, and Randy Orton & Christian defeated Sheamus & Mark Henry.
-Shane ‘Gregory’ Helms is recovering in a hospital after a motorcycle accident.
-I read rumors of Batista and Chris Jericho coming back to WWE. I totally understand why WWE is bringing them back. They need wrestling superstars of their caliber to put over the young stars; this will give creditability to WWE roster.  In my opinion Chris is a great heel, I enjoy all of his matches and I really think he can make the WWE Heavyweight Championship look good.

New Tag Team Champions

Last Friday night on SmackDown, Kane and the Big Show won the WWE Tag Team championship for the second time.  The Big Show throws Justin Gabriel, over the top rope, onto Ezekiel Jackson, and then turns his attention to Health Slater. The Big Show chokeslamed him for the one, two, and three.

What happen to WrestleMania 27?

Hello again wrestling fans, I am going to discuss what happen last night during WrestleMania 27. Let me start off by letting everyone know that I don’t consider myself a wrestling expert but a true die hard wrestling fan. This is why I started my blog site The Wrestling Fans Review, to allow wrestling fans to express themselves. With that being said I must confess that WrestleMania 27 was not the best Pay Per View the WWE brought to us. There were a few matches that I enjoyed, but the rest of the matches were horrible. I am going to give you a brief break down of the show.

The first match of the night was the World Heavyweight Title match between Edge and Alberto Del Rio.  I can’t believe a world title match would open a WWE Pay Per View. The match was good, but I really thought that Alberto Del Rio was going to defeat Edge and become the new world champion. Sadly that didn’t happen; Edge did destroy one of Alberto Del Rio’s priceless vehicles. I guess the WWE believes the world title is second rate. The second match was Rey Mystero vs. Cody Rhodes. This match was really good, even if Rey Mystero did kill one of the biggest Marvel Comics super heroes Captain America, by dressing like Captain Mexico. The match ended when Cody Rhodes pinned Rey, for the victory. The third match was the eight men tag team match between The Big Show, Kane, Santino Marella, and Kofi Kingston vs. The Core. The only good part of this match was when Santino Marella used The Cobra for the victory. The forth match was between CM Punk and Randy Orton. This was the second best match of the night, in my opinion. Randy Orton gains the victory after he hit CM Punk with the RKO, when Punk jumped of the top rope. CM Punk should have won this match. His win would have added credibility to Punk’s heel status on Raw.  The next match was Jerry “The King” Lawler vs. Michael Cole, Lawler won the match. His win was over turned and handed to the voice of the WWE, Michael Cole by the Raw General Manger.

The Undertaker vs. Triple H was next contest of night. This should had been the match that closed out WrestleMania 27, but it’s wasn’t. This match was excellent, these wrestling superstars left their hearts in the ring, but sadly the ending was horrible. The undertaker couldn’t remember how do his own finishing maneuvers, but Triple H saved the match by giving an Oscar winning performance.  Now we have the six persons tag team Match, starring Nichole “Snooki” Polizzi. We all knew that Snooki was going to win the match, that’s all I am going to say about that. The main event was The Miz vs. John Cena. The Miz was man handling John Cena throughout the match. The match ending with a double count out, until The Rock restarted the contest, and helped The Miz gain the victory over John Cena. While The Miz Celebrates his victory, The rock gave him Spin Buster.
I give WrestleMania 27, five stars out of ten. Leave me your comments and tell me your favorite matches of the night.
