Raw’s 1000 episode was
one of the best, WWE show’s we have seen in a while. They gave us returning
legends like Vader, Sid Vicious, Diamond Dallas Page, Roddy Piper, and many
more. But the biggest return was the reunion between the leaders of the
Attitude Era, Degeneration X (DX). When they announce a DX reunion, for the 1000
episode, I thought we were in store for another Triple H & Shawn Michaels
segment, but when I saw “The Road Dog” Jesse James, “Badass” Billy Gun and
X-Pac in that jeep, I went crazy.

Who Can Be The Next Top Babyface
![]() |
| John Cena |
My brother brought up a
good point, about Cena becoming a heel on his last blog post, John Cena on Piper's Pit. His character or/and Gimmick needs a huge revamp, who knows maybe
he needs to take some time off, like Hogan use too, back in the 80’s. It is a
natural evolution, for most babyface gimmicks to turn heel, in order to elevate
their character to an Icon status. There are many examples of this, such as Hulk
Hogan, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, The Rock, and Triple H. They are now the
biggest Iconic figures in the wrestling business. I feel that their turn to
heel’s elevated them to this status. Let me give you a sort of career time
frame break down, on one of these superstars, I am going to pick The Rock. When
he first burst on to the scene he was a crowd favorite, that soon changed and
he became hated by everyone that used to cheer for him. The WWE realized that
they can no longer cover up the fans boo’s so they took the next logical step,
which was turning him heel. Then crowd loved him as they shouted with glee, “If
you smell what The Rock is cooking”, he won the fans over and now he can leave the
business for years, but we still chant his name Rocky, Rocky, Rocky.

| CM Punk & Daniel Bryan |
I believe one of the main reasons
the WWE has not turn Cena heel is because there isn't a babyface character that
can take his place, yea we have Randy Orton, Sheamus, and CM Punk. We also have
young guys like Zack Ryder and Daniel Bryan, but I don't think they are ready
for this spot. Randy Orton's character is not a "White meat baby
face" he is more of a wild card that may turn on any given time. CM Punk
is also a sort of anti-hero/wild card character. Fans love to cheer him for all
the rude comments and his anti-corporate ways. Sheamus is a fairly new wrestler
and I don't feel he is ready to take that spot that Cena holds. Daniel Bryan is
a huge star in the independent circuit, and is struggling to make an impact on
SmackDown. Bryan won the world title on TLC, but I am certain his title reign
will be short lived. I believe Bryan is a wrestling star and can out wrestle
anyone in that locker room, but a Superstar he is not. Zack Ryder has a “colt
following” because of his internet shows, but I was watching last week’s
edition of Raw and not many fans chant his name. This proves that he has a long
way to go! On the other hand he is the new United States Champion and will get
more TV time, so who knows what the future will hold for the WOO WOO WOO Kid!

| The Miz |
I have come to a theory, which
is, all heels make a great babyface. With that being said, I am going out on a
limb here to say that many of you fans may protest to this statement, but my
money would be on “The most must see WWE Superstar” The Miz. In my opinion,
this guy is a combination of “The Hot Rod” Roddy Piper and The Rock. Piper was
an average size man that had great mic skills, and always made his opponents
look great in & out of the ring. Piper also had the ability to sell ticket,
all the fans wanted to pay to his opponents kick his ass. The Miz is the
exactly the same as Piper, with the only difference he has capture the WWE
title. The Rock is an Iconic wrestling figure that always as the fans in the
tip of his fingers, he can make them cheer or boo him. The Rock has captured
many titles, but has also captured the respect of “the millions, & millions
of The Rock fans”. The Rock made the cross to Movies and has become an
accomplish actor. The Miz has made the cross to wrestling and has made it to
the highest peak of the mountain. The Miz has the ability to crossover to main
stream media and that is a huge advantage he has over many other WWE
superstars. The fans love to hate him and in my opinion, if the WWE puts him in
the ring with another heel the fans will cheer him on to victory. I truly
believe that The Miz will become a huge mega babyface that can eventually take
John Cena’s spot.

John Cena on Piper's Pit
![]() |
| John Cena & Roddy Piper |
Hello wrestling fans, just
wanted to talk about how last night's WWE Raw Supershow started off, with
Piper's Pit featuring John Cena. Personally, I loved everything Rowdy Roddy
Piper said through-out the whole segment. Right now John Cena is loved by many fans,
but there is a huge fan base, the hardcore wrestling fans, who see the sport of
professional wrestling for more than just the good guys vs. the bad guys. I
have huge respect for every wrestler/superstar, but when I see that Cena is
getting booed being a "white-meat baby face," and the
"poster-boy" for the WWE, it goes to show that he is losing respect
from the hardcore wrestling fans. My brother and I were there at the WrestleMania
Press Conference when someone threw a box of Fruity Pebbles at Cena as soon as
he came out of his limousine. If he continues on this path, his career will be
over before he knows it. He has no choice but to become heel. The Rock was
getting booed every night, until he finally told the fans where to go. He
changed his attitude and gained the respect of the fans and now he's a huge
superstar and one of the forefathers of the "attitude" era. John Cena
is still young and has a long career ahead of him. Becoming heel wouldn’t ruin
his career, it would improve it. He can turn face later in the future, but
bottom line is that he's loses respect and I believe its goanna kill his
career. It seems to me, that Piper was telling him this exact thing. That he's
losing the respect of the fans and he needs to do something about it. I would
love to hear what everyone else thinks so please leave a comment.

Imaginary Brass Rings
![]() |
| CM Punk |
Hello wrestling fans. Today I am going to talk about "imaginary brass rings," which is a quote from CM Punk's memorable shoot promo on WWE Raw on June 27th, 2011. The phrase stuck out to me. I started to analyze it and realized that the WWE likes to give out a lot of "imaginary brass rings." It's quite obvious too. We have a high flying legend like Rey Mysterio have probably the three shortest WWE/World Championship title reigns in the history of the WWE. There's The Miz, who is already talking live on Raw saying that he's in the "back burner" of the WWE when he is the most "must-see" WWE Superstar. Jack Swagger is a former two times World Champion and they're not really doing anything with him. The whole Vickie Guerrero thing just started, so we'll see what happens. Sheamus is such a great character, former WWE Champion and now he's a babyface. Which is surprising but so far it works. I’m curious to see what’s in cmstore for Sheamus. And there's many more, but I guess Christian said it best on WWE Super SmackDown. He said something like "I don’t need the World Championship. My peeps already know I'm awesome." Back in the 80s when Hulk Hogan was king of WWE, guys like Jake “the Snake” Roberts, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, etc. didn’t need a championship to get over with the fans. It’s the same as today, it’s just different. We live in a world full of materialistic egos, and the way to be the top guy in WWE is to be the WWE/World Champion. I once posted on the WWE Facebook page how "the championship doesn’t mean shit anymore, anyone could be champion, and the new belts look like crap," and what do they do? They delete my post. Bottom line is that the WWE does not know talent. CM Punk shitted on John Laurinaitis because they don’t know what a talented wrestler (not superstar) is. They care more about the look, then the actual skills. Another thing, to be honest, I don’t believe anyone should become champion after being in the WWE for less than a couple of years. You have to earn the championships. Look at the guys who have become champion in their short time in WWE, Sheamus, Jack Swagger, Great Khali, etc. and now Alberto Del Rio. Am I happy that he's champion, yes but I know he's only carrying the belt for now, until Cena wins it back. That’s what it means to have the "imaginary brass ring." It means you're carrying the belt until we give it back to one of the top guys and make them 147th time WWE Champion. Of course I’m exaggerating but you get what I mean. WWE's creative team needs to step it up.

Why is The Miz being missed used?
The Miz competed in a match with the Hall of Famer, the legend, the Icon, Rowdy Roddy Piper last Monday night on Raw. The special guest referee was Alex Riley of course, and they put up “five thousand dollars of their own money” for whom ever wins the match. Piper won the match with the help of Alex Riley, but this makes the Miz look like a punk A** B***h. Don’t get me wrong the match was little entertaining, but how is this lost going to help the image of their top heel’s on Raw. Once CM Punk leaves for his sabbatical, who’s going fill his shoes, The Miz, that’s who. Alberto Del Rio has his hands full with the Mid-carders. R-Truth, Come on, if he wins the title at Capital Punishment I will lose total respect for the WWE World Title. Dolph Ziggler and Drew Mcintyre are young guys that I don’t think can carry the WWE title, for the moment. Jack Swagger had his chances, but he blew it, I like Jack but for the moment he has a lot to prove. We also have a young superstar that is gaining popularity via his YouTube channel, his name is Zack Ryder, but first he has to be seen on Raw, before we can put him on the list for the title. It all comes down to one man and his name is The Miz, so having him look like a fool will end up hurting the WWE. We would like to hear from you, leave us a comment on the blog or on our facebook account.

Bret Hart’s wrestling bio
![]() |
| Bret Hart |
Hello again wrestling fans, as I promised, here is Bret Hart’s wrestling bio.
![]() |
| The Hart Foundation |

| Bret Hart |
Bret also made his mark as a single competitor. He became Intercontinental Champion twice, by defeating Mr. Perfect and Rowdy Roddy Piper. His first WWE Championship was won, on October 12, 1992, you may ask why do I remember this date, it’s simple, he defeated my all time favorite wrestler “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair. Bret held the WWE title five times while in the WWE. Now we come to the biggest event in his career the Montreal Screw-Job. Let’s lay all the cards on the table, Bret Hart had already signed a contract with WCW, was also schedule to face Shawn Michaels at Survivor Series and appear on WCW Nitro a week later. I love the history of Pro-Wrestling and this why I am making the following statement. Throughout the history of pro-wrestling no wrestler has ever left their wrestling territory as champion to join another territory. Why should Bret be any different? (Canadian readers please don’t crucify me)Let me explain why Bret couldn’t take that title to WCW, on one episode of Monday Nitro the WWE women’s Champion Medusa, throw her title in a trash can. We all believe that Bret Hart would never do such a dastardly act. If WCW got their hands on that title, they would be able to claim that they had the Undisputed or the un-beaten WWE Champion on their roster. This would have changed the landscape of Pro-wrestling. And that’s all I am going to say about that!

| Bret Hart & Bill Bill Goldberg |
Let’s continue the history lesson on wrestling. Bret was considered a baby face during the beginning of his WCW career, he then later turned heel when he helped Hulk Hogan defeat Randy “Macho Man” Savage, thus becoming a member of the NWO. His first Championship in WCW was the United States Championship; he held this title five times. He also held the WCW Tag Team Title with Bill Goldberg. Bret Became a WCW champion twice, before his wrestling career came to an end. During a match with Bill Goldberg, Bret suffered a severe concussion. He continued to wrestle for nine more months until his body couldn’t handle it anymore, and he suffered a major stroke. Bret Hart battled back from all of these challenges and returned to wrestling, but not as an active wrestler, but as a GM on Raw. Bret was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006. Now he can truly say he is the best there was, the best there is and the best there ever will be.
