Quick Bio on Chyna

We met Joanie “Chyna” Laurer at Sport Heroes and Legends this past weekend. She was one of the largest attractions the WWE had during the Attitude era. She was labeled the “Ninth Wonder of the World” which opened many doors for her. Chyna was a member of the greatest stable in wrestling history, DX. She was the first and only female wrestler to ever hold the WWF Intercontinental Championship on two different occasions. Chyna was the first women to compete in The Royal Rumble and she also qualified for the 1999 King of the Ring. She held the WWF Women Championship, and competed against female wrestler such as Lita, Ivory and Trish Stratus, whom are Hall Of Fame bound in my opinion. She also wrestled men the likes of Mick Foley, Jeff Jarrett and Chris Jericho, just to name a few. She posed for Playboy in 2000 and now stars in pornographic movies. The fact is that Chyna has accomplished a lot in a so call “man” sport.  I will always remember her as the “Ninth Wonder of the World” and if you’re not down with that I have two words for you, SUCK IT!!

Divas Division

Melina

Hello again wrestling fans, as you may already know the WWE has released five wrestlers. Chris Master, Vladmir Kozlov, and David Hart Smith are guys that haven’t been seen on WWE television for a while, so it’s not a huge surprise, they were released. What is a shocker to me; the WWE released the two best female competitors in the entire company Melina and Gail Kim. Gail Kim is a former Women’s Champion and she has also held the TNA Knockouts championship. Kim is the real deal she has been in the ring with the likes of Trish Stratus, Lita, Victoria (A.K.A Tara), Mickie James and she has defeated every one of them. She will be missed and hopefully we can see her soon, back in a wrestling ring.

The biggest shocker to me was Melina, since I have seen changes in the Divas division; I thought the women to lead them could have been her. Melina has held the Women’s Championship on three different occasions. She has also held the Divas Championship twice, which makes her in my opinion one of the best female wrestler in the world today. I have met her before, and she is as charismatic in person as she is in the ring. I would love to see her in Impact
Wrestling and win the Knockout Championship.

Let’s talk about Beth Phoenix & Natalya, who declared war on the “cute, perky, little princes” in the WWE. I actually enjoyed the match on SmackDown between AJ & Natalya. They used wrestling holds for a change. Beth Phoenix taking out Kelly Kelly & Eve Torres proves that the Championship title will change hands at SummerSlam.

Tough Enough Trainer Trish Stratus

Hello again wrestling fans. Now it’s time to write about the sexiest trainer on Tough Enough, Trish Stratus. Trish is a fitness model turned WWE Diva from Toronto, Canada. She is one of the most popular women wrestlers in the WWE and has held the WWE women’s Championship for a record-breaking seven times. She has even held the WWE Hardcore Championship once. Trish Stratus is one of three women who have held this title. She made her WWE debut as a manager of a tag team named T&A (no not TNA), which is composed of the Prince Albert and Test. Trish also managed a single competitor by the name of Val Venis. Trish Stratus helped Val Venis become Intercontinental Champion and T&A became tag team champions, also. She had many feuds in her wrestling career, but the most famous feud and the last one, was against Mickie James. She battle Mickie James at WrestleMania 22 where she lost the Women’s title, and in my opinion handed down the top spot to Mickie James. Her last match took place in her hometown of Toronto, were she beat Lita. All the females’ participants of Tough Enough, should take advantage of the knowledge this WWE legend is teaching them.

Tough Enough

Tough Enough aired this past Monday night on the USA Network.   For those who don’t know, Tough Enough is a reality series about 14 contestants who train and live under one roof, whose ultimate gold is  to win a WWE contract.  The 14 contestants will be trained by former WWE superstars, Booker T, Bill Demott, and Trish Status. The host and judge of Tough Enough is Stone Cold Steve Austin.  Wrestling fans can actually see what a wrestler goes through in order to entertain the fans on nightly bases. In the premier episode we saw the contestants run the ropes for three minutes without stopping, Stone cold and the trainers picked the worst three participants that performed the challenge. After Steve Austin questions the three competitors on why should they stay in the completion, one of them was sent home. Ariane Andrew a 23 year old California native was the first person sent home. She was asked by Steve Austin, which is her favorite match of all time; she answered Melina vs. Alicia Fox. The answer drove Stone Cold crazy.  Austin was right in sending her home; she has no sense of wrestling history.  There are so many unforgettable matches in Pro-wrestling history, and Ariane named Melina vs. Alicia Fox. This is the fourth season of Tough Enough. I understand that a version of Tough Enough was also aired on SmackDown, but it wasn’t the same format. Tough Enough will air on Monday nights on the USA Network at 8pm.

SnookiMania

SnookiMania? SnookiMania? Why? What did the true WWE Universe do to deserve such horror? Calling it that name is a disgrace to wrestling and definitely the WWE Universe. At WrestleMania 27, Vickie Guerrero will accompany Dolph Ziggler and Lay Cool on their match against John Morrison, Trish Stratus and Snooki. Will the match be any good? I think John Morrison, Dolph Ziggler and the WWE Divas will hold their own, while Snooki sneaks a few shots in. Of course, it is a no-brainer that Snooki pins whomever, thus winning the match. Personally, I think it's a useless match but Snooki at WrestleMania means $$$$$. So congratulations WWE.

Knockouts vs Divas & Snooki

I really enjoyed the TNA Knockouts match, between Mickie James and Tara. Tara used a Boston Crab to setup her finisher, but Mickie James ended the match, with a Tornado DDT. It was exciting; they actually use wrestling maneuvers, unlike the WWE Divas. This brings me to talk about Snooki from The Jersey Shore being used as a competitor in WrestleMania 27, how did this happen? Is she really going to enter the ring with Trish Stratus & John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler & Lay-Cool? Wow, I really don’t understand why the WWE is using Snooki for a match. This makes me stop and think about the Hall of Fame inductee Drew Carey, and everything starts to make sense. The WWE is attempting to attract new fans while neglecting the true Wrestling supporters, by using non wrestlers at WrestleMania.
