Wrestling And Social Media A Match Made In Heaven

I love social media, don’t you? I mean every time a wrestling company fires someone they hit twitter and invite everyone to a release party, right Maryse. Then we have Chris Master alleging sexual misconduct from the head of the SmackDown creative team. I will not mention names folks I don’t have BIG bucks to pay a lawyer if I get sued. We also have wrestlers that take jabs at other wrestlers that are still in the company. Chavo we all know that Cena sucks salty donkey ba***…sorry folks I forget kids can also read these things, Chavo thank you for reminding us, the obvious. Then we have wrestlers that are still under contract who call out the guys who left the company years ago. CM Punk, yes all the fans agree you are the best in the world at what you do. Sorry, you’re the best wrestler in the world we don’t want gimmick infringement, right Jericho. What I am getting at is that Social Media is a good tool for un-employed wrestlers to voice their opinion after being treated unfairly while under contract by their wrestling company. Wrestling companies like the WWE is also using Social Media as a tool to enhance their storylines. Kevin Nash is a prime example, he wrote on his twitter account that he refused a contract from the WWE because it was too low, really bro, the WWE is the biggest wrestling company on the planet. There isn’t any other wrestling company that can pay you better. I love Social Media, because we have people that like to talk sh*t, like me ;-)

Chavo Guerrero Jr. in Queens, New York

Hello again wrestling fans, my family and I just met Chavo Guerrero Jr. at the Wrestling Universe in Queens, New York, this was a fantastic event.  We had an awesome conversation with Chavo Guerrero, we asked him if he was going to TNA and if he liked the Kerwin White gimmick he once had in the WWE. I also told him that he needed to become the leader of “Mexican America” and he said we will see. I have attended many wrestling autograph events and I have to admit that the Wrestling Universe is the best, they give you ample time with each wrestler and we are treated like family when we are there. The staff at the store is very welcoming and I highly recommend the store for anything that pertains to wrestling. The first ever autograph session I attended was held by the Wrestling Universe, this is why I have preference for this store. I have met many wrestling legends like Superstar Billy Graham, Terry Funk, and Kevin Sullivan. They also bring current wrestlers’ like Rey Mysterio, Shelton Benjamin, and AJ Style. So if you are in the New York City area, make it your business to visit the store.

Picture of the Week ( October 22, 2011)

Chavo Guerrero is in the picture of the week, because he is making an autograph appearance at the Wrestling Universe in Queens New York. I picked this picture because I enjoyed when he turned to Kerwin White. This was one of the biggest push the WWE gave him, but it was cut short due to Eddie Guerrero death. In my opinion the push was taken away from him and then given to Rey Mysterio.

The latest wrestling news

Chavo Guerrero
Hello again wrestling fans. The WWE and Chavo Guerrero have come to terms for his release. Chavo wrote on his twitter account “I asked for my release. I was just tired of not being used correctly.” I am disappointed and excited for him at the same time. He is a good wrestler that never received that big push he deserved. I only remember two major pushes he had; the first one was as Kerwin White and the second was when he was a member of “La Familia”. Chavo held many titles such as WCW & WWE Cruiserweight Championship, WCW & WWE Tag Team Championship, and the ECW World Championship. He is in an excellent position because there are two other wrestling companies that can benefit from his wrestling skills, Impact Wrestling and ROH. I can see him excel in ROH, rather than Impact Wrestling. If Chavo joins Impact Wrestling he will remain a mid card wrestler. During his final day Chavo was jobbing for the entire SmackDown roster, which is a shame, because he is a talented wrestler. Chavo states that he “will never go back to being underutilized and watching people who suck get a bigger pushes than me!”  I wish Chavo the best of luck and hope to see him at future wrestling event.

Dolph Ziggler

The United States Championship changed hands on WWE’s Capital Punishment PPV. Dolpd Ziggler defeated Kofi Kingston via a sleeper hold. Ziggler also defeated Kingston for his first Intercontinental championship. Ziggler is one of the youngest superstars that you can vote for in our poll. Ziggler debuted as Chavo Guerrero‘s Caddy when Chavo changed his name to Kerwin White.  Ziggler later joined the Spirit Squad, they became tag team champions, and the WWE recognized all five members as tag team champions.  He became World Heavyweight champion, because his ’business associate’ Vickie Guerrero awarded him the title after the then champion Edge used a banned move (the Spear) to defeat Ziggler a week earlier. Theodore Long came back to SmackDown that same night and made the match between Ziggler and Edge for the World title. Edge ended Ziggler title reign, which lasted only 11 min. Dolph Ziggler is young and his future is bright, I wouldn’t be surprise to him in the world title mix.

The 20 Greatest Wrestling Factions of All-Time!

Inside Wrestling Magazine
Hello again wrestling fans. I just finished reading the June issue of Inside Wrestling Magazine. They had an article called The 20 Greatest Wrestling Factions of All-Time! I really enjoyed the article because I am a big fan of factions. If you follow these wrestling groups you will find that many of their members became top wrestling superstars, after the group is dismantle. Let’s pick apart one of the factions on the list, The Alliance. The members in this group read like a Wrestling All-stars team; Steve Austin, Booker T, RVD, Kurt Angle, DDP, Chavo Guerrero, Billy Kidman and The Dudley Boys, just to new a few. The Alliance was created 2001, for the purposes to taking over the WWE. All of the members were former wrestlers of WCW & ECW. Most of these wrestlers became top superstars in the WWE after their run as Alliance members was over.

The Four Horsemen
The list named the Four Horsemen as the number one faction in wrestling, and I most agree with list, and in my opinion they were truly the best. When I was seven year old I remember watching the Horsemen taking out The Road Warriors. After being a witness to a cohesive unit like Horsemen beat down one of the most powerful men in wrestling, I became an instant wrestling fan for life. The leader and champion was Ric Flair. The enforcer or the muscle was Arn Anderson. The Technical wrestlers were Tully Blanchard and Ole Anderson. The Manager of the group was J.J. Dillon. These men worked together for one objective, which was to keep the World title on Ric Flair and capture all the gold in the NWA.

CM Punk
There was one faction that was featured on this list, which I didn’t agree with. The NEXUS was ranked number seven on the list, but they haven’t existed for too long and I haven’t seen them make a big impact on wrestling. With all that being said, if this list should ever be reprinted in the near future I may agree with NEXUS seventh place ranking because CM Punk is the new leader of the NEXUS and I am expecting huge things from this new faction.

Legion of Doom
This article is also very informative. Legion of Doom was a faction that was lead by Paul Ellering in Georgia Championship Wrestling. The members were Jake Roberts, King Kong Bundy, The Iron Sheik and The Road Warriors. The Road Warriors used the name L.O.D while they wrestled in the WWE.
