SummerSlam 2011

Triple H, CM Punk, and John Cena

Hello again wrestling fans and thank you for visiting our blog site. SummerSlam was bizarre to say the least, the entire PPV was boring. The two major titles changed hands, and the divas championship was defended successfully by Kelly Kelly. She defeated her strongest opponent thus far, this was a total shocker to me, I swore up & down that she was going to lose the title. One of the dark matches was the Intercontinental Championship title match between Cody Rhodes & Ezekiel Jackson, in which Rhodes retained the title, I am so tired with the WWE. They are treating the IC and the US championship titles as garbage. Instead of a championship match we were treated to a six-man tag team match. The competitors of the match were, Rey Mysterio, John Morrison, Kofi Kingston vs. Alberto Del Rio, The Miz, R-Truth, which in my opinion was the worst match of the night. Daniel Bryan faced Wade Barrett, this match was pretty good, Bryan showed off his wrestling & submission skills, but in the end Barrett got the win. Randy Orton became world champion for the third time, now this was a surprising outcome, really, really, REALLY! What really surprised me was the quality of the match, they pulled out tables, trash cans and Singapore canes from underneath the ring. Do you really need a Singapore canes to build a ring? I don’t think so, but it was entertaining to say the least.  On to the main event, CM Punk won the match and the title in a controversial fashion, Cena had his leg on the bottom rope, and the special guest referee, Triple H counted 123. After the match CM Punk was celebrating his victory in the ring, when "Big Sexy" Kevin Nash came in and took him out. Alberto Del Rio came out and cashed in his money in the bank contract. He hits Punk with a Kick to the head, covers him to gain the victory and the WWE heavyweight championship title. At SummerSlam we were going to crown the undisputed WWE Heavyweight Championship title, and that we did, but it also left us with questions. Who is Kevin Nash working for? Did Triple H counted Cena out on purpose? Did Stephanie McMahon have anything to do with the outcome of the night’s main event? I can't wait until Raw to get some answer.
