Night of Champions Main Event

The main event for the Night of Champion PPV was announced last Monday night on Raw. It’s going be John Cena vs. our WWE Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio. This was a major surprise, not really! I must be honest I am not going to pay for this PPV, the key word here is pay. This match is going to be like all the other Cena matches, he will get his ass kicked the entire match and then mount a comeback, this is boring. How many times can we see the same match, no wonder the WWE PPV buy rates are going down the drain. The only upside, is that we are going to see Del Rio carry this Fruity Pebble ass throw out the match, and take him to wrestling school, by doing so Del Rio will be viewed as a creditable champion. I am also upset that former champions like The Miz, and Jack Swagger are not even at mid-card status. The Miz is teaming up with R-Truth, another chump that The Miz has to carry. I hope that putting Swagger and Vickie together can help his carrier, and at least have him face top contenders. The only sad thing is that CM Punk is getting over with fans, and he may have to face a 50 year old man at a PPV, this isn’t TNA guys, so let’s cross our fingers that we don’t have to see that match.

Picture of the Week (August 26, 2011)

This picture comes with a fun story, my friend and I thought we can make some money by attending this signing event. We made two different set of pictures and sold them for $5.00 each. We didn’t want to get caught by the organizers of the event so we sold them in the Burger King next to the building. Someone ratted us out, but it was too late because we were sold out already. In the event a fan offered us $20 for each picture and one WWE official exchanged one of their promo pictures for ours. When get to Chyna and Triple H, she makes a comment “they can’t even spell my name right”. I don’t know how she found out we were the ones that made the pictures, but overall it was a fun time.

The fans have spoken again

Which of these Young WWE superstars, do you believe will be the greatest? That was the question I asked on our blog site about three month ago, you the fans voted for Sin Cara. He received 45% of the votes, which makes him the fans favorite to become the greatest superstar in the WWE. Sin Cara is a wrestler that has 13 years of experience in Japan and Mexico. He has held many titles all around the world, under the name Mistico. He was the biggest box office draw in Mexico, an equivalent to John Cena in the States. This guy is an already made wrestler, and the WWE has to change his name to Sin Cara, which mean “no face” when translated. I can’t help, but to think that by calling him “no face” dismisses all of his accomplishments which allows the WWE to take full credit for all and if any future achievements. Sin Cara was suspended for 30 day because he failed the WWE wellness policy. This was a major setback in my opinion; it will hurt him in the ring and backstage. I like this guy, but I have seen him in action and he makes tons of mistakes, which can be accounted for the language barrier or the inexperience of working in the States. Only time will tell if he can surpass the legacy of Rey Mysterio. I really believe he was brought in to WWE to replace Mysterio as the masked fan favorite.

Alex Riley came in second place with 33% of the votes. I really don’t like this guy right now. I see him as John Cena replacement. Riley gained popularity by turning on The Miz earlier this year has not lost any steam. His in ring performance need work in my opinion, but he will become a star.

Dolph Ziggler was in third place with 27% of the votes, and in my opinion he is a true star. He has the look and the ability to become a world champion.

Drew Mcintyre and Zack Ryder are tied in forth places with 17% of the votes. Ryder should be in a higher ranking in my opinion.

These are rest of the results:
Justin Gabriel 12%
Jinder Mahal 6%
Johnny Curtis 4%
Yoshi Tatsu 3%
Heath Slater 1%

Monday Night Raw Part 2 (August 15, 2011)

Jack Swagger and John Morrison finally gain a victory on Raw. Since his return Morrison has lost every match that he was involved in, I guess this was because of all the back stage politics. I am assuming that he is still upset that his girlfriend Melina

Monday Night Raw (August 15, 2011)

Monday night Raw was ok, I really expected more from the aftermath of SummerSlam, but all we got was a Kevin Nash, that couldn’t come up with a one liner to answer CM Punk. This was the best segment of the night, Punk went in on him. Punk called him out, on labeling the late great Eddie Guerrero a “Vanilla Midget”, on all his name changes

SummerSlam 2011

Triple H, CM Punk, and John Cena

Hello again wrestling fans and thank you for visiting our blog site. SummerSlam was bizarre to say the least, the entire PPV was boring. The two major titles changed hands, and the divas championship was defended successfully by Kelly Kelly. She defeated her strongest opponent thus far, this was a total shocker to me, I swore up & down that she was going to lose the title. One of the dark matches was the Intercontinental Championship title match between Cody Rhodes & Ezekiel Jackson, in which Rhodes retained the title, I am so tired with the WWE. They are treating the IC and the US championship titles as garbage. Instead of a championship match we were treated to a six-man tag team match. The competitors of the match were, Rey Mysterio, John Morrison, Kofi Kingston vs. Alberto Del Rio, The Miz, R-Truth, which in my opinion was the worst match of the night. Daniel Bryan faced Wade Barrett, this match was pretty good, Bryan showed off his wrestling & submission skills, but in the end Barrett got the win. Randy Orton became world champion for the third time, now this was a surprising outcome, really, really, REALLY! What really surprised me was the quality of the match, they pulled out tables, trash cans and Singapore canes from underneath the ring. Do you really need a Singapore canes to build a ring? I don’t think so, but it was entertaining to say the least.  On to the main event, CM Punk won the match and the title in a controversial fashion, Cena had his leg on the bottom rope, and the special guest referee, Triple H counted 123. After the match CM Punk was celebrating his victory in the ring, when "Big Sexy" Kevin Nash came in and took him out. Alberto Del Rio came out and cashed in his money in the bank contract. He hits Punk with a Kick to the head, covers him to gain the victory and the WWE heavyweight championship title. At SummerSlam we were going to crown the undisputed WWE Heavyweight Championship title, and that we did, but it also left us with questions. Who is Kevin Nash working for? Did Triple H counted Cena out on purpose? Did Stephanie McMahon have anything to do with the outcome of the night’s main event? I can't wait until Raw to get some answer.

Divas picture of the Week (August 12, 2011)

Melina was one of the best women wrestlers the WWE has ever had, and then they sent her packing.

Divas Division

Melina

Hello again wrestling fans, as you may already know the WWE has released five wrestlers. Chris Master, Vladmir Kozlov, and David Hart Smith are guys that haven’t been seen on WWE television for a while, so it’s not a huge surprise, they were released. What is a shocker to me; the WWE released the two best female competitors in the entire company Melina and Gail Kim. Gail Kim is a former Women’s Champion and she has also held the TNA Knockouts championship. Kim is the real deal she has been in the ring with the likes of Trish Stratus, Lita, Victoria (A.K.A Tara), Mickie James and she has defeated every one of them. She will be missed and hopefully we can see her soon, back in a wrestling ring.

The biggest shocker to me was Melina, since I have seen changes in the Divas division; I thought the women to lead them could have been her. Melina has held the Women’s Championship on three different occasions. She has also held the Divas Championship twice, which makes her in my opinion one of the best female wrestler in the world today. I have met her before, and she is as charismatic in person as she is in the ring. I would love to see her in Impact
Wrestling and win the Knockout Championship.

Let’s talk about Beth Phoenix & Natalya, who declared war on the “cute, perky, little princes” in the WWE. I actually enjoyed the match on SmackDown between AJ & Natalya. They used wrestling holds for a change. Beth Phoenix taking out Kelly Kelly & Eve Torres proves that the Championship title will change hands at SummerSlam.

Should John Cena Turn Heel?

John Cena
Hello again wrestling fans. As I browsed the internet there was a question I came cross that peaked my interest and that was "why doesn't John Cena turn heel?" I would like to give you my opinion on this question. There is only one huge baby face that turn heel and became a bigger star then he was it was Hulk Hogan. The main reason it worked was because Hogan turned heel for a reason. WCW just acquired two huge stars from the WWE/WWF, Scott Hall & Kevin Nash; they started an angel that depicted them as invaders or “Outsiders” from WWE and what bigger star to lead this group of misfit then the man that put the WWE on the map, Hollywood Hogan. The angel took off like a rocket, but it was watered down as the years went by. Getting back to John Cena there is no reason for him to turn heel at this particular moment, the angel that is evolving right now is an anti-hero CM Punk and a hero Cena. Punk has the older fans and Cena has the younger fans, so it’s a perfect fit for him. If the WWE decides to turn Cena in to a heel, it will be a huge gamble for them that they are not willing to take.
I will like to take you back to One Night Stand 2008 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, where Cena took on the then current ECW champion RVD. The crowd was anti-Cena and in my opinion it was the perfect time for Cena to turn heel. I know there will be many ECW fans that will crucify me just for saying this, but give me a chance to explain, on that night Cena showed a glimpse of a hardcore, or if I may say an extreme side.  Picture this; if Cena would have turned on his young fans and started to use chairs, tables or anything the fans brought to the show on that night, the crowd would have in embrace him. If he would have won that match, the crowd would have been in shock and “The Doctor of Thuganomics” would have been reborn. Cena would have held both titles and this particular angel could have developed into something huge. In my opinion if this would have happen ECW would still be on the air today. So to answer that question it’s not the right time to turn Cena heel. We need to wait until the right opportunity appears again.
